I'm just wanting to clarify a few things before ripping my fairing back apart. I'm switching my audio around...again. I'm coming from a bt4180 running hcx690 and mpk165p3 to a Diamond hxm800.4 pushing DD VO6.5/B3 and either hcx690 or DD's pro audio 6x9.
I've always been running a Cerwin Vega B54 bridged to a pair of sv200.1.
There's a good chance I'm changing my 200.1 to the DD W8 as well.
My main question is about wiring and capacitors. I have PAC bass blockers for the horns unless the capacitor that DD includes is a better fit (if so I lost one and need to buy one, where can I?)
I have both a SMD DD1 and CC1 that I've borrowed and didn't know what I need to set the crossovers too.
I'm confused on how to wire in the horns off the speakers.. I guess I'm overthinking it and all over the place. Any help is appreciated, as always thanks in advance.
Run the capacitors that came with the DD horns. Might call DD direct to get a replacement or whomever you bought them from.
You can twist and solder the wires from your speakers and horns. Just run them in parallel.
