Default Simple speaker wiring question????

I'm replacing a set of Focal PC165 with a set of Polk MM651. I always thought that the speaker wire with the white tracer is negative and the solid wire is positive. The wiring for the MM 651's show the wire with the white tracer as positive. So have I been wrong all along? Should I connect the speakers as shown?

The system that I just installed in my FLHTP used solid wire for positive and the white stripe for negative. My speakers were also clearly marked for positive so there would be no mixing them up.

I'm not sure what the industry standard is, if there even is one, but the important thing is that you get the positive output from the head unit to the positive connection of the speaker.
