Hello all. I have very little experience with audio equipment and I am hoping to get some advice.
I have a 2008 FLHX with the stock HK head unit. I added biketronics speakers a few years ago and recently added the biketronics amp. The right speaker sometimes gets static and sometimes quits working altogether. Then it will sometimes come back on and work perfectly.
I took the fairing back off and found that one of the cables that plugs in to the head unit is not making a good connection. I can wiggle it and get the speaker to work as it should. I can't think of any way to tighten up this connection. Any ideas?
post a pic of which connection it is. if it's an RCA, electrical tape should be wrapped around all of them. if it's a wire that goes into a pin connection, there is likely a different solution
Thanks. It is an RCA cable. I just put a zip tie around the two cables to put a little bit of side tension on the connectors. Seems fine for now in the garage, I will have to wait for a test ride to see if it lasts.
