Default Rca cables

Last year i installed JL audio XD 400/4 amp with DD AW6 & AT28 SPEAKERS. I installed this on my 2017 street glide special. Sounds great! Last week cruising around & every now & then i would loose sound for 1 or 2 seconds then comes back. I pulled fairing off today to check connections & the only thing i could see was the RCA cable wasn't quite on all the way. Maybe just a little was backed out off of the line leveler. Could this be what is going on or something else? Sit in my driveway & crank the stereo & no problems. How do i know when a line leveler goes bad? I crimped the RCA end a little tighter also.
