CB Woes

I have a 2009 Ultra Classic. My problem is my CB radio. I got. CB turned on, Volume works with intercom off CB volume works, with the intercom on both volumes, work, Squelch opens up when the switch is pushed to full open. When I key the mike I get the channel indicator turning to black and white. Meaning transmission. happening? But no one can here me and our group is communicating between themselves, and I can not hear them. Again no one can hear me. The last time I worked in the area was when I had to replace my comm. connector on the fuel tank. Also, the shop did a 10,000-mile checkup, a stator change, and rear brakes replaced. All within a week of CB failure. Could I or they have crimped the antenna wire? How can you hook up an SJR meter to your antenna cable? I removed the antenna and the connector was not a common CB connector. Is there a common place to look for a crimped antenna wire? What else would you have me check? Lost in the smell of ozone.
