Im looking into adding aftermarket (weather proof) TP speakers onto my CVOSG. Currently I already a RF 400/4 channel amp w/ Focal (front) & Hertz (rear).
Looking to get some input on best speakers & and the install process.

Very nice!! How much u looking to spend? The big filter on this speaker selection is the waterproof factor thus it narrows it down to just a few that are a bit pricey.
In some cases it might be better to go cheap and durable and replace them if they get trashed, unless u live in Seattle then go waterproof!!!
I'll add this for some thought as well....if you mostly ride 2up, changing the TP speakers is a wasted effort as you'll never hear them nor will she.
I would add lowers before I did the TP.

T.
Im open w/ the price, and while I do a lot of distance rides, i would like something w/ some level of weather resistant.

I currently do not have TP speakers, on the CVOSG I have speakers lids. I wanted to add the TP speakers as to fill in the gap from the backrest to the lids. As far as functionality, I haven't given much though the speakers lowers...maybe I should.

I added TP speaker pods this spring also. The guys are correct You cant here them with a passenger on board. I think I am going to just put the Hogtunes grills back on and take out the speakers so I can use the open channel elsewhere.

Wow...this is something to consider. If I cant hear them doin 80-90, then what good is it?

I fully understand the want for the TP pods for aesthetic reasons, but if your wanting an audio upgrade as well I'd definitely choose speakers in the lower fairing over TP every time. Having the sound in front of you will always be easier to hear at 80 mph than what's behind you. And if you have a passenger it's a moot point.
