Default Hey audio gurus née help please

Hi Group, riding a 2012 FLTRU currently have boom amp and speakers in the fairings and tour pack with the stock head unit, my audio guy has suggested going to the Aquatic 5UBT-H as a head unit with the rockford TM400x4AD as the amp and the Mille pro MPX 165.3 6.5 in the fairing and tourpack, no plans on adding speakers in the lowers, I want to be able to hear at highway speeds with solid base and be able to skip songs on the iphone 5 audio source using the hand controls. thoughts on this setup, suggestions on alternatives? I know there's always something else but I only want to do this once. budget is about 12-1500, thanks for the input

That sounds like a good system, and a good budget. Before I did anything I would shoot Alex at Bagger Audio Lab a PM or email!

Great call Mike! Alex is the man! problem is he's on vacation for a few days. I'd still shoot him an e-mail though. In the meantime I'll share a couple of thoughts. Let me start by saying the audio guy gave you a decent recommendation with the Aquatic/Rockford/ Hertz set up. But not the best bang for the buck. Firstly, The Hertz speakers are not going to produce much bass. Secondly, The Hertz speakers will not fit the rear pods without a spacer. Thirdly, IMO the Aquatic is way overpriced for what it is. Point being, You can get better sound with the budget you're working with. If you like I can PM you a much better set up for your 2012 Ultra or you can wait on Alex to get back. Your call bro!
