Default Rushmore Batwing Fairing Speaker Depth

Can anyone say what the max depth is on the Rushmore fairings for a 6.5"? With the pods, and with the BT brackets if possible.

Unfortunately speakers come in all different shapes and sizes so this is going to be an impossible question to answer. Example for pods: AD Design CX 62 is 2.625" deep. It has a really small magnet and fits nicely. The Digital Design AW 6.5 has a 2.6" mounting depth and will not fit because the magnet is significantly wider.

When it comes to brackets, you've got a ton of room back there and I have yet to find a speaker that wouldn't allow the fairing back on and I've had a few in there and a few monsters and the fairing goes on without issue, but again, this is all based on the shape of the magnet and speaker frame/basket.

Apologize for not being able to provide actual data for you but that's the answer. You're better off picking a speaker and asking if it will fit in the pod. There's enough guys here that have tried everything and it's either a yes, no or mods required when it comes to pods.

That's a reasonable answer. It sounds to me outside of pro audio that most Component and Co-ax speakers can be made to fit the pods then. I don't know if many large magent, deep basket Comps or Co-axes out there.

I have known the guy that had these built form the car audio forums for a long time, and I would like to try these out. It looks like I may need to invest in brackets first.

I put a half inch spacer between the Biketronics brackets and DD Audio AW6.5s to give me the clearance l needed. I did remove the rubber magnet covers so the outer fairing would fit.

What did you put in front of the AWs that needed the clearance?
