Default Popping on start up?

I just upgraded my audio Running a Sony MEX-M70BT, Arc 600.4, AD CX-62's in the fairing and MMats 601.4's in my lowers. When I start the bike I get a loud quick popping sound from the speakers and it only happens if the radio is left in the ON position doesnt matter if the volume was left at 0 or higher? It does not happen if the radio was turned off completely before I shut the bike down?

Does anyone have any suggestions or possibility's as to what could be causing this? Thanks in advance!

Note: I never had this problem with my old set up which was a Sony HU, SS PN4.520D, BT speakers in the fairing and the lowers.........................

By no means an audio expert, but what did you wire the amp (remote) wire to?

I'm running same H/U and Mmats with a SS 4.1000 and I get a the same pop noise during most of my start ups. Be interesting to see if anyone else has this issue.

Me too. Be conscious of it. I make sure my volume is down or radio off B4 I start my bike.
A prominent audio forum member (gannicus, but I don't like to reveal my sources) told me to worry about something else. Lol!

I have a sony HU and Arc 600.4 and I have the same pop. I make sure the HU is off before I fire up the bike, that way there is NO power to the HU or amp.

Are you connecting the amp to the Blue/White striped Turn on lead.
Also the Red and the Yellow should be wired to hot 12 volts all the time unless you can get the Red to the acc side of the ignition switch

That is correct
Turn on pop is usualy voltage issue
I have added a inline resistor to factory amps that require a different voltage from after market units.

You could try a PAC TR4 inline

I have the same setup as the op and I have the same pop if I have the hard unit and amp on when I start the bike. I've just got in the habit of turning everything off before I shutoff the bike but it pops then too just a much smaller one. Are you saying the red and yellow for the head unit should be run to a constant 12v (battery?) and not through the hand control unit connected to the harness?

The red is typically to the Key, but you can also run it to constant power with the yellow.
