Could the amp be getting too hot? I know my B54 would get pretty warm when I had it bridged to 6x9s, even when set conservatively aft 150W, but it also never cut out like that. Just a thought.

I think the amp gets a little warmer with these speakers than previously but not nearly as hot as the pbr I used to run. Not sure how heat sensative this amp is.

More often than not when the speakers are only cutting out at high volume the amp isn't getting enough juice. The way to check is put your bike on a battery charger. I mean a real charger not a trickle charger!! Crank it up and see if it still cuts out. Bike off. Try that and get back to me.
Heres something interesting. It cuts out worse when the bike is running than with it off. I hooked a dmm to the battery in on the amp. When the voltage was over 13 it cuts out when cranked. Shut the bike off and it stops cutting out when the volts drop.

Well that's a game changer!! You got some loose wires somewhere. Gonna have to track it down. Bike running = Vibration. Nuff said.

If I turn the gains down it stops cutting out, so either I'm pushing it too far or the amp is failing is my guess.

What do you have the accessory/amp turn on tied into? It sounds like the amp is getting up into the party volumes and saying "nope" which then says power supply. If you spliced into the cig lighter wire it's entirely possible that it's not capable of those upper end draws. The solution then is to get this: HD Y adaptor for Rushmore accessory power 69200921 from the dealer and click into the harness that is made to power additional accessories (like an amp draw).

The amp power comes directly from the battery with 8ga wires. Amp power light stays on and it maintains voltage at the amp power terminals

Where is the amp accessory power coming from? The amp turn-on.

Well that's goes back to my first assessment. Reset the gains with a DMM. We're kind of all over the place here bro. Have to go back to basics. Start with resetting the gains with a DMM. 1000hz test tone. HU set to flat. 3/4 volume.

bike on means higher input voltage, means the amp puts out more power and could be clipping. The hotter the amp gets the lower it will play, and the sound quality will also decrease. That amp gets pretty hot when pushed bridged.
