If I was looking for a plug and play system I'd be looking at Biketronics. Awesome sound quality and the best customer service out there.

X2 On the Biketronics, Very solid warranty easy installs, no adjusting/tuning necessary - good sounding on the road - they also have a sale on now. And just to throw another option Arc has some kits that may fit what your looking for, Arc amps and 602v2 coaxial speakers are a good option for a "Kit" system, here is a link to what they have to offer, I'm sure there are cheaper places to purchase but this will give you an idea of what they currently have. http://www.arcaudio.com/c/motorcycle...cle-audio-kits
Good luck, there really are no bad options between the Biketronics, Arc, and R/F.

So it may be a good time to call.
^^ Hands Down ^^ I'd go with the 7.1s and BT2180 Amp. Give them a call though...

Just wanted to say thank you for all of your input on upgrading my wife’s stereo system!

One more question, are there any benefits to choosing a system that utilizes the stock speaker pods or doesn’t it really matter if there stay in the bike?

My wife and I are not fair weather riders so I need a system that can handle the weather too.

It appears to me, for instance, that the Biketronics system requires them to be removed and the RF system utilizes them.

Once again, thanks to everyone for your input.

Here's my .02. I have heard the RF systems. I live in PHX and they are "local" (Tempe) so have a lot of presence here. I'll keep this to the point, but feel free to ask and I'll answer questions if I can. They usually have a couple bikes with a couple systems installed.

What I liked: the system that I heard sounded good
What I didn't like: they told me it was "based" on their package, but had upgraded speakers. The stock package sounded..well, meh. I suspect the week link to be the speakers.

Now, to be fair....I am not an audiophile. Most guys in my neighborhood rum the Boom stuff and love it. I never heard a high end system like we read about on here. I hope this helps a little.

I had some good ones in my rear pods for a while. Power series components, with the tweeter mounted on a bridge across the frame. Sound pretty darn good.
