Default Scosche hand control

Has anyone had good luck with the Scosche HDSWC1 hand control? I just purchased a package from Amazon including a Kenwood HU, hand control interface, and splash guard. I can't get the hand controls to work. I'd hate to remove everything and return it. I'm waiting for Scosche to open to see what they have to say. Google searches show me that I'm not the only one having a problem with it.

We use them on all our aftermarket HU. Zero issues so far. Make sure you cut the correct wires and/or plug the 3.5mm per the instructions for each HU brand.

Yea, I think I installed it correctly. I cut 2 wires and didn't use the 3.5 mm cord per the instructions for the Kenwood. I had some unused wires left over also but I think that's correct.

Lol..called them twice while installing mine. Once you talk to them, they will get you dialed in.

As haze said above, make sure that you cut the correct wire. I can't remember the other issue I had but they are good to help.

Well, I got it working. It wasn't the fault of my wiring but the position of the dip switches instead. Man, those things are small. I need some reading glasses or a magnifying glass.

Default Found it

I was having the same issue with my Kenwood deck and scosche hdswc1. Figured out the 3.5" audio adapter s touching metal and shorting the whole thing out. Put some electrical tape on that and you should be fine.
