I have the 1000d in the fairing. need to shim it up about an inch. I used shipping foam from one of the speaker. I just cut it in strips and worked great. Not the cleanest amp but plenty load. Most lose their FM with it but I stream my phone or use my Ipod.
You can use that amp for 2 or 4 ohm speakers. I would think the soundstream pn4.1000d would be a better choice for few bucks more. It will have more than enough power to push those speakers, and fit in the fairing. I don't think the pn4.520d will be enough. Wait till others chime in to see what they say as I am very new to this game but do alot of reading.
I pulled the trigger on the pn4.1000d, where should I set the amp settings ?

Use the chart from the sticky about setting amp gains. I have the Polk mm652 and they sound real good around 150watts. Not sure about the 572. When you set them using chart this will be the ball park area. Use your ear and make final adjustment. Remember a little goes a long ways on those dials.
I'm probably going to have to mount the amp in the bag, with the amp all the way against the tach and speedo the fairing touches the amp not by much but it touches and not knowing how warm the amp will get
That amp will fit. It's a much easier install with an amp bracket from Badd Azz Bikes.
Either trim the backs of the gauges to allow it to slide in further, or angle the amp as much as you can and use heavy duty zip ties to hold it in place.
Set the amp on FLAT and use the crossovers on your HU. Set between 80-90.
