I've been reading through the forum looking for idea's for an audio upgrade. I'm in the process of installing a Fairing Factory double din inner fairing and am looking for speaker and amp options. Probably going to go with a Sony XAV-AX100 for the head unit.
I do mostly touring one-up riding. I listen mostly to rock and christian. I've had my current system for two years. I have 6x9 bag lids as well as lowers. I currently have a single din sony HU, SS PN4.520D, Polk MM651 in fairing, Alpine Marine 6x9 rears. Lowers are empty.
The current setup sounds pretty good below 50 but above 50 it is completely washed out. I'm looking for suggestions for amp and speaker combinations that will let me hear my music at highway speeds. Looking to spend under 1000.00 for amp/speaker combo's. If possible I'd like to stick with a single amp. Maybe a PN4.1000D (open to other suggestions)?
I have a set of DD AW 6.5’s W/ AT28 tweets and TXO Crossovers for sale in the classified section for 350.00, I have a set of pioneer pros TS6900 pros I’ll sell for 75.00 and there is a Power acoustics RZ4 amp another member has for sale for 80.00 bucks brand new.
505.00 bucks and it will be a awesome sounding system, I’m just chasing a unicorn lol..I change everything about once or twice a year hahah. You said you have lowers? 6.5? Or 6x9? Couldn’t tell by your post

Yes sir, I’m pushing them with the arc moto right now and when i thought I lost a channel on the amp (loose rca cable) Gannicus told me to get the RZ4 and that I would actually like it better then the moto.

I’m no expert, which is why I go to Gannicus for all recommendations for my bike audio. Unless it’s rated underpowered it’s pushing the same as the arc moto for 1/6th the cost.
So he could bridge the AW’s on channels 1-2 and the run the pioneer pros off channel 3-4 and have the power your suggesting right?
The rating on the RZ amp is bogus. No where near what the Arc is pushing. And no sir that's not how you bridge an amp. One AW would go to channels 1&2. The other to 3&4. Nothing left to run the Pioneers.
My point to all the questions is this....you recommended a sub par amp for that system (whether you knew it or not) to help facilitate your sale. That's not a cool move. We strive to give the best advice possible for anyone here seeking help. We were all newbies at one time and a lot of us are still on the hunt for that mythical creature as well.
And thanks for your Service.
