Thanks, I saw the 1 pic he posted and it looks tighter than a frogs *** but it fits it will prob get purchased. This new bike has me spending way more money lol
Dragonfly cycle concepts sells a mount that they swear will mount the Focal Sport under the radio on a RG. I have the mount and amp but bike still at the dealer so can't speak to it first hand yet. The biketronics amps easily fit under the radio with their mount. Their 4 channel amps are 5x7.
Maybe on the older one, no way on the 18, it’s to wide, I tried, turn it sideways and it’s to long, once apart you will see the 2 plastic tabs above the headlight, all they do is Hold the end of two connectors, take those out there’s plenty of room on either side to stash them along with the line levelers, cut the tabs off flush, then I removed the two top Allen heads that hold the light on and replaced them with button heads, that buys you another 1/4” I just used some thick Velcro stuck it right on top of the headlight, and the bottom front sides of the amp, slides right in, plenty of room in back for all the wiring to plug in. You can see in my picture I used the felt side of the same Velcro on the top sides of the amp so it doesn’t scratch up or give and kind of sharp edge to bang up the inside of the fairing, really pretty easy once you figure it out. I just lift it up a bit to release the Velcro pull it out and turn it 90* to reach the controls for tuning, when done just slide it back into place and stick the fairing back on. PM me if you have any questions, I can easily pull it apart and take more pictures if you need, oh and you will may need to move some of the radio wiring around, re route the antenna etc stuff around to get a nice clean looking install and room to slide to amp in and out just below it, nothing hard though

I made this bracket, modeled off the BT one, then the amp showed up and I realized no way was it gonna fit back there, so I never install it, and started looking for other options.

You woulda thunk that someone designing a bike specific amp would have figured out a way to make it fit all the touring fairings easily.
I'll call dragonfly to see if they have pics or any insight how they did it.
Sucks I've got 2 RGs to play with and can't get to either of them right now. Driving me nuts.
Cant wait to get this amp now, the hard part was buying it now that thats done im super excited. Just got finished modding the pods to fit the new speakers, i just went ahead and cut the holes then covered with dynamatt per Alex's advice.
