Bt bracket gap

Default Bt bracket gap

I just installed ddaw6.5 and at28 tweeters used hog tunes grills and bt speaker brackets. My concern is the 3/8 gap between new grill with tweeters and new brackets and speakers Do I need to close in with some type of gasket or ok as is

I’m doing this this all based on forums I been reading for last couple months

Yes. Just get some backer rod at Home Depot. The bigger the better. 3/4 will work. It's on aisle 14 right next to the door weather striping.
