Gentlemen,

As always I love the response I get on this forum, and I appreciate all of the advice I’ve gotten. So I’ve been doing a little digging and for the price I’m thinking I may be settling in on a new set up that I’d like to get your opinion on.

First the amp, Cerwin-Vega B54 Stealth Bomber Class D Amp (b54, 4 Channels, 1,200W). Most of the posts on here say it is a quality piece of gear, especially if you are running 2 ohm speakers.

Front speakers: Infinity Kappa 62.11I 150W 6.5-Inch 2-Way Kappa Series Coaxial Speakers.

Saddlebag lids: Infinity Kappa 693.11I 220W 6 x 9 Inches 3-Way Kappa Series Coaxial Speakers with Edge-Driven UTF Tweeters

I’m thinking this will give me 150w to each corner, which I think these speakers should be able to handle. Thoughts?

Here are my "Thoughts" lol. A couple years back that would have been a good set up. Through real world application we discovered last year that the 6x9 infinity speakers are flawed on a motorcycle. The baskets come apart at the seams making the speaker defective. You don't want those speakers today. However, The 6.5 Kappas are a good purchase.

If it were me. I would go with the SS PN4.1000D amp and the Infinity Kappa 6.5's up front. Run the Polk MM692 speakers in the lids. The SS amp has plenty of power to push both speakers and the Polk speakers are going to balance your sound. Good combo all the way around!

My Infinity 6x9's failed exactly as described by Gann, much better options available. Pioneer TS 6900's are a solid choice but I haven't heard the Polks they may be a better choice.

So it looks like the 6x9’s and the 6.5” that you suggest each have a different impedance, (2 ohm up front and 4 ohm in the back) will that make a difference? Or can I tune/adjust the amp for each set separately?

Yes Sir! As long as your amp is 2 or 4 ohm compatible you're good to go. A four channel amp has two gain *****. Channels 1 and 2 can be used to tune your 2 ohm speakers and channels 3 and 4 will be used to tune your 4 ohm speakers. If using a DMM refer to the gain settings chart at the top of the forum for the correct voltage.
