F350, the factory placement in the fairing is where I lost reception most of the time. Someone in the forum said outside the fairing somewhere not sure need to look it up.
I located my antenna outside of the fairing. The wire comes through by the windshield. I use 3m command strip to stick it. It's been there for almost 3 years. I stuck it on the right side of the vent.

I did the same thing. Took a small dremel bit and cut a notch under the windshield in the inner fairing for the wire. The antenna is mounted on the opposite side from the vent button. Looks like it belongs there. Always 3 bars of signal strength.
torchmaster, I have a subscription on my Zumo 665 I was simply going to call Sirius and have them transfer it to the bike. Are you saying that because I bought the module I will get three months free even though?
Thanks
You will have to haggle with them, I did.
The CVO's come with the module installed and 3 months free. I simply told them the dealer who sold me the module said I would get a free trial. A supervisor had to get involved but they gave it to me after I explained I would return the module if they declined. I'm sure they will oblige.
Oh, and don't give them a cc# tell them to bill you.

Dang,I only loose reception under fuel station canopies.
Well, here is the good news. Very easy indeed to install just like a PC card for a computer. I ran the antenna cable through the air vent all the way to the right if your sitting on the bike and sticky it right next to the vent. The cable barely interferes with closing them. So the next step was to call Sirius and what a headache that was. Customer service doesn't know how to activate all the extra features and kept saying that doesn't work on my model bike. I had dealt with this before, customer service rep are not trained to activate the extra features (weather, traffic, etc) I told them after three reps put me through Corporate and they will know how to enable the features and so it was done.

just went through the hoops. 3 calls to Sirius escalating to supervisors and techs that all ended in them saying cant be done.
Called HD support, very helpful. They said they have been working with Sirius to educate them and to call back to Sirius and ask for a manager that the managers are supposed to know about the issue and they can overrride the stuff. HD also took all my info and said they would follow-up tomorrow and call me back (techs gone for the day).
Called back to Sirius and finally got to a rep that could do it. Easy peasy. Multiple calls also equals a discount
That rep said she is with a different group that has other access. Per that rep to get directly to that group call 1 866 635 2349.
