Back many moons ago when I still ran the stock HU I used a Bluetooth adapter that plugged into the Aux. Worked great.

I used one also, never had any issues.

I also have a usb charger in cigarette lighter to charge phone while riding, never have to worry about a dead phone.

There you go. All you need is a usb charger plugged into your phone and the phone plugged into your HU at the same time and your good to go.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I dont use the FM very much. Mostly use my Iphone where I have 500 songs or use Spotify and plugged into the head unit. The wire is routed behind the fearing and then comes out on my left handle bar where I have my phone mounted. Im just a little confused with the problem on the FM. Does the amp cause some kind of static or buzzing because of the amp?

Yes it produces RFI and depending on your location can kill your FM. I was ablr yo mostly save my FM I am close to the Radio hub and used ferrite cores. I dont know if they help but my fm is not horrible.

Hi Everyone, Finally got all my parts in to upgrade my stereo. To give you a recap, I have a 2011 Street Glide with the stock head unit. Equipment purchased:
Infinity Kappa 6.211I
Soundstream amp PN41000D
Rear speakers Rockford Fosgate TMS69BL9813 lid and speaker kit

Hooked everything up, everything works except for I am not getting any sound out of the rear speaker channel coming out of the amp. Traced it down to the head unit. There is a blank 35 pin plug there. Looked at the schematics and found which pins are for the rear speakers. Made little jumper wires from those pins to a test speaker. There is no signal coming out of the HU. So it is not the amp. went to radio menu where you adjust bass and trebble and the fader option is not there like it is on the ultra classics. what do I have to do to get this to work? was told that on the street glides the factory turns the fader to the front channel only. that's why there is no signal coming out of the back radio. Can anyone tell me if this is true and how I can correct it? thanks.

You will have to go to the dealer to have the rear outputs turned on. Or you can split off the front. Your choice.

I don't think that rear fade is an option on a 2011 harmon kardon hu. Just split the input from the hu to front/rear input. No fade but all four will work.

That HU is no different than what came on the Ultra Classic except for the rear speakers and fade turned off. The dealer can turn that option on if it's desired.
