Picked up a jvc kd97mbs and soldering in the metra 9600.
I have one additional wire (light blue/yellow) labelled steering wheel remote.
The metra doesnt have a corresponding wire. Is this just terminated and left?
Also with regard to wires for rear speakers (green and purple) I have had the TP Once in last 3 years, can I just terminate these with female spades just in case?
PN1000 feeding fronts on ch.1&2 and lowers on 3&4.
Maybe dumb question but can the rears be run separately off the jvc if I happen to ever use the tour pack?
Thanks just takin it slow and finding my way.
Regarding the Metra wiring, can't help you there (sorry bro).
But, I have currently have a similar set up... PN4.1000D. ch 1&2 running fairing and ch 3&4 running lowers. And I have the head unit powering the tour pack. It works. The fronts way over power the tour pak speakers, but they're on...lol.
Hey scani6 I'm running a similar setup as you are but just used identical speakers in the lowers and pods and just ran them in parallel on the rear channel of the PN4.1000d. The rears sound pretty good that way.

Thanks, not changing the 2 ohm speakers in the TP cuz its rarely on the bike. But would like the option of still using them for the rare occasions its on.

Food for thought....most aftermarket HU's are 4ohm. I'd resort to the owners manual before hooking up those 2ohm speakers and be certain your not setting yourself up for failure.
Thanks Shannon, was just looking for a simple solution. Don’t want to upgrade tp speakers for something that’s never used.
Any thoughts on that extra steering wheel remote wire?

Thank you I did but was still confused cuz I thought the jvc had a 3.5mm in the back. Like the Sony and others. It does not . You have to connect the 3.5mm female from the aswc to that blue/yellow and then connect the male and female 3.5s.
It’s coming along...and thank you
