Audio Newbie Needs Guidance
Im a newbie to the audio piece of this world so looking for some advice. Ive tried to research a bit myself and have leaned a little, but not enough to know right/wrong. I'd would feel better soliciting some input from the group here.
Im not looking to be the loudest or even have the best quality, just some extra oomph at highway speeds.
I already have:
- Pioneer deck, 50x4w (will gwt the model# tomorrow)
- Alpine kt445u 45x4 class d amp
- Pioneer TS-576M 5.25" 3-Way Speakers in the fairing
- 6x9 lower fairings (on their way)
I have not yet bought the 6x9 speakers but was looking at the Pioneer TS-A6996R based on some reviews I read online. Does this combo make sense or am I just mashing together components that really don't belong together?
If this combo just doesn't make sense please feel free to correct me or give suggestions . As you can tell by the components and the prices of each I'm on a budget. Trying to stay under $75 for the 6x9s. Could probably scrounge togwther another $100 for anything I should change out.
So two questions foe the group:
1) are the 6x9s not a good fit for this little amp/deck/speaker setup?
2) should I swap out the amp or 6x9s for different pieces to make the setup more cohesive?
Any/all feedback welcome. Thank you.

It's not the 6x9's that are an issue. It's the amp.
Bike is an 08 Electra glide to answer Gannicus's question. I'll shop around for those amps, some mounting rings for the 6.5s and speakers. Any suggestions on speakers?
Followup question based on your suggestions, would those amps fit inside the fairing? I tend to do a lot of distance rides and pretty much fill my saddlebags, so was hoping to keep the amp in the fairing if possible.

- Pioneer TS-A1686R A-Series 6.5" 350-Watt 4-Way Speakers
- Pioneer TS-A6996R A-Series 6" X 9" 650W 5-Way Speakers
They both came up on a few top 10 lists for car audio, but i know itll be different with the bike rolling down the road at speed. Wanted to ask if anyone has outright objections or feedback? Im open to all opinions. Trying to stay below $125 total for the 6.5s + 6x9s.

I see a lot of comments about the polks and titan II's.
To your guyses points, Id rather do it right now than be replacing stuff a month from now when I'm not happy. Im not an audiophile by any means, just want to hear it at highway speeds, with moderate quality, without beaking the bank. Rarely am I parked and rocking out.

Great bang for the buck.
