Any reviews on these things? I haven't owned a CD in years and I could use the real estate.

Are you looking at a specific unit? I have the JVC KD-X35MBS and it's working great.

No nothing specific, easy to read during the day would be awesome. I have a DSP so I don't need any bells and whistles.

I would suggest getting one with a white background for easier viewing going down the road. The Kenwood KMR-M322BT is a good one.

The JVC that I referenced above has a white background and black writing. It’s very easy (as easy as can be) to read in any light.

I have a JVC 330 BT that im gonna be putting in a streetglide shortly, dang thing is tiny and have 4v pre-amp output, hopin to allow a TN900 under the hood with no issues ill post pics when im done

I used the HDK001X from PAC. It was easy to install and has worked flawlessly. Some soldering, heat shrink. You solder color for color basically, then connect the connectors. Easy and, most importantly, it works.
