I am simply window shopping at the present, if that is possible....
Looking to replace the stock H/K head unit with a unit that accepts a thumb drive.....on a budget so price is important.
I want to keep my handlebar controls....adding an amp is not a necessity/ not in budget now.
Any and all directions are greatly appreciated......
P.S. meant to add; plug and play would be very helpful

Reason: adding p.s.
So you only want to change head unit, u won't get much benefit out of that except for being able to use a thumb drive.. Might as well just use ur phone and an aux cord
If you want plug and play Biketronics can help you out with that, or if you want to do some basic wiring you can check out Crutchfield.com to see what HU you like and what handlebar controls adapters will work. You can either purchase from them or google for a lower price. Also there are several bike shops that offer prewired systems that will plug and play. Do a quick FB search and you should find some.
Dont let plug and play affect your decision. Buy a nice head unit from a reputable brand and a handlebar control module. Plug and play usually means less quality in my prior experience. If you can read instructions you can install anything you want . I have a Sony head unit and a guy i know installed an Aquatic AV unit. He wasnt as happy as I am with his purchase.

Thanks...this has been the only option I have come up with in my simple mind.

Some times it's the obvious that is right in front of my nose that escapes me....
Thanks for an option I will research....greatly appreciated

My anxiety issues come into play when ever I attempt to work on / replace anything on my bike.....
I will literally work myself into becoming sick and 'tossing lunch' often, before removing the first bolt / screw.
I have a very close friend who will be helping me....he used to own / ride a RG and has dismantled it for
stereo upgrades to repainting whenever his mood wanted a different look or sound.
Thanks for another viable option to consider....
