So I smoked a pair of Polk 6x9. Presumably my bad, part of the learning curve. I aasume they don’t warranty user dumbness with the amp settings
I have swapped them out so not in a rush but before I toss them any experience with warranty replacements? Do I have a shot? Their website warranty info doesn’t say much other than to call them.
I’m a member of the Polk forum. It’s more geared toward home stereo equipment but as far as that goes they have really good customer service. I would at least give them a call. What is the worst they can say?

And just remember, u are running them straight from the HU, not a Focal Sport bridged!!!

Did you get it solve? I also have one MM692 that I pushed to the limit and the woofer didn't take it.
Called Polk pushed a bunch of buttons and waited for a rep ... he said to ship them in and service would send out another pair. No tracking numbers, no case numbers, just a trust me service will turn it around. After a few questions he added, well if you include your email with the info in the box they will send you an email with the return parts tracking. So if I trust the rep, would be replaced with just shipping cost. Didn’t get that warm fuzzy though from the conversation. Might just be me but I was getting mentally warmed up for a run around.
Called crutchfield just to give it a shot, answered right away by a human! Had my info just from my caller ID up on his screen. Quick conversation, he asked about the amp, told him the truth. No grief, he is sending out a replacement pair with a return label for the bad ones.
So Polk would have cost me shipping and who knows what the outcome would have been. Crutchfield, handled in one quick call. New ones on the way with a return label included. If I return old ones in 14 days no cost. Will continue to buy through crutchfield when it applies just for that service experience.
When they come going to pull the JL out and go back to the Polk for comparison.
