Not even close brother. Pull the fairing and see if the green light is going off when you twist the throttle. If that's the case you're losing the power that triggers the amp to come on.
Decided to ride out to dealer before pulling fairing. Didnt get an air pump when I bought my bike used. So I Ran it by the service guy and showed him. His consensus was the amp.
So.............I pull in driveway with bike in gear and clutch pulled in and sound comes out again. Im thinking WTF.
So.......decided to look at volt gauge and rev my engine. Needle passed 14 and no sound. Dropped back under 14 and sound again. So i repeated in gear and in neutral. Same result. Every time needle passed 14 no sound. Every time it dropped below 14 sound came back.
New thoughts or still maybe remote on power source?
Before I tap the cig lighter power I unhooked my BT355 and plugged my factory speaker pods back in the factory wire harness.
Same result. Sound cut out above 14 on the volt gauge. Came back under 14.
I am an electrical DA when it comes to this but wouldnt that mean no amp problems?? Or am I showing my true ignorance again!!!!
Yup if it's doing that while hooked to your stock speakers, without going through the amp, then it sounds to me like you've got HU issues or a possible short in your wiring harness somewhere.

Run the gains on the amp down a bit and try it again.
