diamond micro4v2...
I was going to suggest a focal sport but the mpx 165.3's and a focal sport just aren't a good combo. Now that amp with the sonys should sound good. If I were a distributor those damn things wouldn't cost so much. Im still curious why adding tm6900 in the bags? A set of 10 midrange would sound a ton better or vo in the bags.

I personally have not run that amp. I have run the focal sport and the tm400. Sold the sport, still running the tm 400.

so..minimal..what amp would suffice to run the 165 and the 690.
gypsy...the 6900 are just in case.
I only want to purchase one amp and I'm trying to get this right the first time.
first order of biz is to figure out what amp for the 165/690.3. if I have to add another one later for the ts6900 then I can cross that bridge then.
honestly, I know zilch about stereo equipment so I am relying on the expert for guidance.
just like I rely on FM, hillside, kirby and the rest of the engine building experts for engine building guidance.
thanks for all comments and/or suggestions...it is much appreciated.

Again I would suggest the tm400x4ad. The focal sport is a beast and has a lot of raw power. Also it is not user friendly with the mpx165's as with that amp the highs will be ear piercing. I have run numerous speakers with the tm amp, pushed it hard, not so hard and it still delivers what I need it to. The birth certificate on my amp said (if I remember right) 131w to channels 1/2 and 128w to 3/4. There are a lot of different other amps out there and cheaper but that amp will do you justice for a 4 channel set up as it is warm, easy to tune and loud. Just remember not all watts are created equal. Just my thoughts.
Damn I am starting to sound like a used car salesman. Just going by experience.

thanks. anything else I need to run this amp...wiring harnesses etc.
i have been reading about "bridging and parallel" amps and/or speakers but im not exactly keen on when/if it needs to be done on any particular combo. im sure the more i read these threads and google ill get a handle on these concepts. can you tell me if these speakers need to be bridged with this amp.
also...does this amp fit in the SG fairing.
thanks

One of these:
And speaker adaptors for the fairing speakers you have. These will work.
