greetings to all you audio gurus.
I need to know if this amp will be sufficient to feed these speakers. if not your recommendations are needed. I'm looking to mount the amp in the faring.
thanks
mpx 165 in the faring
mpx 690 in the bags.
I am currently running the same amp to a set of SV165s and DD 6x9s it pushes them very well. Its a different set of speakers than what you have, but I think it will push your speakers nicely. I am not one of the experts, I just know that amp is clear and loud on my ride.

im gonna chime in and say that amp wont produce enuf power to get full potential out of your speakers.
what year is your bike and what head unit are you running?

if you already have the 4v2, budget wise i would bridge it to the lids and add a jl 280/4 and bridge it to fairing
thats my $.02
dont have it yet.
I also may add a couple of pioneer ts6900 to the bags so I need enough power for 6 speakers. if there is one amp that i can mount in the fairing that can accomplish this that would be ideal. however, if I need to run one in the fairing and one in the bag then this is what I'll do.
I need suggestions on what amp or amps needed to power the 6.
thanks

Curious why you want to add the ts6900 in the bags? With the mpx 690.3, you should have all the sound you need in the back. I have run that exact setup for a while and found the mpx 165.3's screamed highs in the front but those mpx 690.3 are just about the as good as it gets in the rear. I still run those mpx 690.3's in my lids but went with a set of sonys in the fairing. BTW I ran that setup off a tm400x4ad and it was loud as hell. Still running the tm400 with the milles in the rear.

By the time u buy 2 little amps u could get a pretty damn nice 4 channel with some solid watts.
I run the Focal Sport and it's solid. The Hertz HDP4 also has good qualities. Great JL amps however with conventional / traditional Speaks will more than likely require bridging thus wasting channels & space. Many other traditional 4x150 @ 4 ohm amps at various price points. There are also some other beast amps but will require either PAs or DSPs.
Take ur time and identify ur max amp budget.
