I ride a 2016 road glide ultra and currently have bt4180 powering titan-2 6.5's in front and alpine spr-60 6.5's in the rear. It sounds good and is loud but I just feel it's not all it can be. Personally I think the alpines sound better than the titan-2. I've been looking at different options for other speakers DD, Hertz, Mmats. I was thinking DD vo-m6.5 and vo-b3 up front but haven't found any info on what if any DD fit in tour pack pods. Then I watch the videos with hertz setup and they sounds damn good. So I'm still not sure on speaker choice. So now I'm looking for some guidance and/or opinions. Should I be looking at other options? Is my bt4180 going to be sufficient or limit me? I know alot of the guys are pushing 3-400 watts to the hertz. I'm trying to do this one last time and not waste anymore money. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your BT4180 is the show stopper. Powerful little amp but it has no gain controls and the Rushmore's don't have a 10 or 13 band EQ like the aftermarket HU's. A DSP would help but I'm just not a fan of that amp. Your other show stopper is the Titan II's in the fairing. Those speakers don't get loud enough for the fairing location. My suggestion would be to go with AW's and B3 horns up front powered with a JL 400/4v2 bridged. I recently heard this set up on a members bike and I guarantee you'll be a happy camper. With this set up you can also run the alpines off the HU. Plenty loud and great Sound quality!! .

One of the other threads or a FB post said dsp and bt4180 is pointless because the amp adjusts internally and will change what the dsp is sending?? So not sure there
I have to agree with Gann. I'm not a big fan of that amp or Thor by speakers. Others have made them sound decent but for the most part they sound just like your. I have also heard the same setup he suggested at the same time. Damn fine sounding set up.

I said it might Help!! Lol! Im afraid sled audio has evolved way past the BT4180 amp. It was a good amp back in the day but it might as well be windows 95 or the Blackberry these days.

Any idea how the AW's hold up to weather? I see DD doesn't list them as marine grade like they do their others
