Need to swap out the speakers in my 04 electra glide fairing. I already did the stock HU for a JVC. Looking at putting in the NVX 4 channel amp. Need speaker recommendations. The previous owner put a Hogtunes HF1 on it & I can't stand it. Way too bright for me but i've got pretty sensitive high frequency hearing. So that's coming off too
I would dump that tweeter mount and grab a good set of coax. From the new infinity kappas sound good for the $$ to a set of hertz hcx 's for $$$ there are a bunch of good sounding coax out there. Are you running fairing only? Any rears? That nvx amp going to be bridged?

Funny you should mention that amp. I did an install about a week ago and bridged that amp to a set of Hertz ECX speakers and I was surprised by how good it sounded. I’ve never been an ECX fan but I have to admit. That combo sounded dam good!! So I have no Idea what your budget is but the Hertz speakers can be had for a reasonable price.

As we all keep saying, not all watts are created equal. Some speaker/amp combo's just sound better than others.
