Default Boom 2 technical question. PLEASE.

Ok gents I've read far and wide and know the opinions and perceived faults of boom stage 2. At this time I don't care that after market is better. The question is... it is stated that the tour pak can not be removed with amp mounted under it. I find this unbelievable that there isn't a quick disconnect and a fader forward if the back speakers are gone. BUT... how about mounting the tour pak amp in the saddle bag and using that harness instead. Will this work? I believe it should. I must be able to remove tour pak or not happening!!!

Anything is possible. You just need the proper harnesses and some imagination to make it work.

Year and model of bike would help, but here goes (assuming you have a 4 speaker setup and the tourpak amp is driving those speakers) - Just pull the main connector from the tourpak amp and see what happens. Best case the fronts play fine and the system doesn't even know it's not there, worst case you have to buy a jumper for the rear amp connector like CVOs use. Even if your fader doesn't work it's no big deal as long as it's set dead nuts center you'll still have full power to the front speakers. You don't lose any power to the front speakers until the fader is past the center position towards the rear. And for the record, there are no "perceived faults of boom stage 2" - they have been proven to be the most overpriced crap on the planet many times.

Thx. It's a 14 cvo limited. Stage 2 only possible on 14 and up. The harness for saddle bag speakers should physically reach and electronically be same if used for tour pak speakers. I much appreciate your input. You had to get the zinger in! Lol.

Call biketronics or soundz customz. They both make CVO harnesses and have probably seen it before.
