Just about to install this amp in my fairing. Running a pair of 6.5 Mille Pro's in the fairing and a set of ECX6905's in the lids and was looking for amp setting help. I have never had a 4ch amp before and this one is replacing a B52 that was powering the fronts. I'm assuming there are no adjustments made on the amp settings for front to rear (fade) or just on the HU? If someone could point me towards gain and crossover settings it would be appreciated? Thanks
I'm not as smart as the long timers here but I can tell you that fade will be controlled with your head unit. Just use two RCA patch cables and connect the front preouts from your head unit to the front preamps input on the amp and do the same with the rear.
On my PN4.1000d about 11 o'clock was a good starting point for the gains. As far as the crossover goes others are better qualified than me to tell you exactly. a tune by ear method is to put your bass and treble flat, set the crossover switches to high pass and adjust the crossover ***** all the way clockwise, then turn them back until you just hear a little bass creep in and then stop.
The smart folks can help you dial it in exact but those tips should get you started until they get back.
