I still have the B52 amp and I'm happy with it for the price. I still have the Polks and they sounded good, a little treble(y) for my taste but good sound for the buck. I found a nice used pari of ARC Moto 602 on ebay for $200, almost half of retail price, and have those installed now and love them, really strong bass, something that's hard to get out of just two 6.5 speakers. I can now hear music clearly at 70mph with the Sony HU, something I could not do with the stock HU and amp setup. Go ahead and try the line leveler, (if you want a used one send me a PM I'll sell it cheap), and see if you like the sound with the B52/Polk, it will still be better than stock There are threads here explaining how to tinker with the gain and filter settings. If you want to keep the HU, (with a new 2019 model I would), and the sound with the line leveler is not all you want, than look for a used ARC PSM DSP to correct the EQ. (They are $409 new I think).
What did you upgrade to? Did you just upgrade the head unit and keep the amp and speakers or did you replace them also?
Hey man as others said maybe pump the brakes a little before buying something
you will regret. First off the Arc Moto 602 are a solid front speaker only set up. Theres no
need to replace your head unit or get a dsp for a two speaker system. I had the arcs and a very similar amp
to the CV on a stock HU and I could here it at highway speeds. Yes you will need the BT line leveler and a set of rcas.
those speaks are power hungry and need about 160w to get them going. Also dont mess with the settings on the line leveler
either you can achieve good sound from the amp settings. Start there and if you decide to move up then you can layer. Again no need to spend money another HU or a dsp at this point.
Thanks for the replies. I am not replacing the HU. I just want to add an amp and replace front speakers. No plans to add more speakers. Just trying to soak in as much info as I can from you audio gurus. Good thing my hair is too short to pull out! Glad there isn't this many oil choices. LOL!!!
Well I think I am gonna go with the stock head unit and the CV B52 amp and some Arc Audio Moto 602s with a BT line leveler. No plans for adding more speakers. I havent ordered the speakers yet but I see Arc Audio Motos and just arc audio for $100 less. What is the difference? Just waterproffing? I have a Stinger SSRCB 1.5 cable but I'm not sure if that is all I will need. I will do more searching for an install kit. Thanks for all the help so far. I gotta start somewhere.

The Motos are great speakers for a budget build. Personally I would NOT buy them on the internet Arc is vehemently against internet sales use a real dealer.

I would use a CV B54 with Arc Audio Moto 602's and bridge them to get the full potential out of them, only a few dollars more for the amp or use a Diamond Audio 4v2 amp for a richer sound.
I am just about to fit a Diamond Audio 4v2 bridged with Hertz HCX 165 speakers, I would have preferred AA Moto 602's if I could have found them for a good price
