So I’m going to make the move to upgrade my stereo, by upgrade I mean an amp and speakers. So my question for you is which one? I have looked at 3 but only heard one on a bike. The 3 I’m looking at are.
1 - Biketroninc
2 - J&M
3 - Boom 2. I have listened to this one.
Obviously it’s my chose but which one do you like and dislike? Thanks.

2016 Street Glide.

Like oil threads, there are a bunch of views on this....

I upgraded to the HD Stage 2 system, but I paid under $700 total due to patience and picking up parts on the forum and e-bay... I do know I would be pissed if I had paid full retail for the Stage 2, but I am not upset for the upgrade I got for the money I spent. It is no where near a $2k difference, but it is nice. Not going to get Hi Fidelity at highway speeds anyway.

Recommend you go to the correct sub-forum to find the most information on the choices for audio systems and upgrades.... You will find much better and more information!

I’d include the Rockford Fosgate kit as well. I’d also not get the Boom crap. Trust me. I’ve already been down that rabbit hole, and you can’t give that crap away. Or, even better, go to the audio section and learn for yourself. There’s a ton of info there.

Whole lot of options out there that are much better for much less. J&M and Boom 2 are bottom of the list in bang for the buck. They cost a fortune and for the same price with aftermarket gear you can blow them away.

Of the 3 you mentioned, biketronics is the only choice. Run far away from the other 2 and never think about them again. If you're ok with minimal adjustability and knowing you left some on the table then BT has outstanding customer service and a lifetime warranty.

As others have said, you can build a better system by piecing together components. The downside to this approach is you will likely end up trying a couple different setups until you find what you like = more money in the long run. Very rarely does anyone nail it the first time, especially on a budget setup.

Figure out your budget and goals. Read until your head spins and repeat. If you want killer sound piece it together. You want pretty darn good and it won't bother you to know there's better out there than BT is the ticket.

Just from my experience with it, I'll NEVER consider Boom Stage 2 again. It's really not any better than stock. Believe me. For the price of any of the 3 you mentioned, there are a few guys here that can suggest a much better setup than these. I wish I'd have done that in the 1st place. I had a GREAT system on a previous bike, and spent $3K. Got a new one, and decided to just do a little upgrade, but nothin' big, so I did Boom. Sounded good on the wall at the dealership. Might as well have flushed $800 down the toilet.

I wouldn’t put any of those three on my bike even if they were free....

Relatively low-cost and “safe” (common) upgrade that many seem to have Cerwin Vega amp with Kappa speakers.

If keeping boom HU, I understand you need to have it flashed and/or include line levelers. (I replaced boom HU with Sony ax5000 and so don’t know about that part.)
