Will an iPhone charge also when plugged into the USB (i.e. when playing music)? Thanks.

it does on my kenwood head unit

Yes..Obviously your phone is consuming power while also charging so I would imagine the rate of recharge will be slower though.And depending on the USB outlets amperage, it too would have an effect.
I think 3 amps is the highest they recommend.

I probably should have added when plugged into the USB with the Boom systems. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.
