I have a 2000 FLHT with a Jensen HD1BT head unit and a pair of Hertz HCX 165 speakers along with a hog tunes tweeter pod. but unsure of what amp to use? was thinking of going with the ARC KS 125.2 but some say it is under powered for the Hertz speakers as they are 4 ohms and the amp is best with 2ohms speakers? any info to assist in what maybe my best amp to go with? thanks
what is your budget? you might not want the tweeter pod in play here, but try and see. you are going to want something at least 100 watts. do you have plans for further expansion?

not looking to expand just run up front speakers, also budget is always the less I spend the better ( well according to wife anyways) unless on her lol

If u r certain ur not going to expand speaker holes then the Ground Zero Micro 4 is a very nice amp bridged. 250w each is a good place to be for an amp. $250-$275. Focal 4.320, JL 280/4, are also good quality amps. Other budget options available.
Just make sure u are not going to ever expand, cause if u are just spring for a good 4 channel amp now and let 3/4 channels chill until u add to ur setup.

thanks T yeah maybe best to buy a 4 channel amp in case I decide to put speaker into my lids. but that would be all I would do..any ideas for a 4 channel amp then?
I haven't yet.. I have the Jensen HD1BT head unit and front Hertz HCX 165 6.5 speakers . thinking of going with Hertz ECX 690.5 6x9 in the rear lids, and add a either Rockford T400X4AD amp or the Soundstream PN4.1000D NANO amp . any input on this setup ?
I ran the SS PN4.1000D with a pair of HXC165 in the fairing and a pair of HCX690.3 in the lids. Sounded good. If you want to get a little more out of them you could use a SounDigital 800.4 evo but ideally you should run a DSP with the SD amp. it doesn't have the tuning capability of the SS amp, but it definitely packs a much bigger punch.
