2017 sg looking to upgrade stereo. The following is what I think might be a good budget set up for me after reading post for the last 2 weeks, Options and input needed. 700 budget
cerwin b52 4channel
hcx 6.5 with sound Mat in the pods
bt355
Next Im wanting to add lids, looking for a hertz 5x7 maybe the ecx?
With adding lids lids will I need 2 bt355 ? I do not care about having fade option. Thanks!
If you don't care about fade option, 1 Bt355 will suffice. You'll want y cord rca's to split the front and rear channels. Speaking of front and rear channels, you'll also want a 4 channel amp instead of the 2 channel amp you have listed.

Thanks, ah yes b54 is the 4 channel. Sorry for the typo.

I don't think ur gonna want the B54 w those speakers.
Have a look at the speaker spec watts & ohms then look at the amp spec watts & ohms and see if they line up. Then factor in that ur on a sled doing 70.

so what would be your advice? Change speaker or amp?
Those hcx are damn solid speakers that are bullet proof. 1 bt 355 LL will be enough if no fade is in play. A good 4 channel amp with min of 100wx4 is what is needed for your setup. Also if you are looking to add lids then look into 6x9 vs. 5x7. They are the same price and provide a ton better midrange than 5x7's.

and if going with 6x9, plan on an amp that will deliver a minimum of 150 per channel at 4 ohm
as Mr T stated, the b54 falls way short of that at 4 ohm

Hi, I would like to get your advice, I have a Street Glide 2019 with Boom audio 1 (2 ohms) Speaker in the fairing and I want to add a BT355 with a Y RCA connect to a 4 channel B54 with 2 Speaker JBL GTO (3ohms) for the lower fairing, I don't need to have the fade feature. Its a low budget project what is you feedback!
Thanks for the help

I really don't think ur gonna want to go down the path that u presented for sled audio. The amp is underpowered for anything over 2 ohm speakers and those speakers are just not good in this environment.
I know u said u want a budget system but if u slow ur roll and come up with just $150 to $200 more u can have a very damn credible & road tested setup vs a below average setup.
Damn near every other thread talks about this "go to" setup and is a very great bang for the buck so shop for some deals and compare to what ur current plan is.
