Default Suggestions on Lowering Fairing Speakers

Looking to add speakers in the lower fairings to match up with BT4180 amp and 7.1 Titans in the fairing. Any suggestions?

One of the most recomended is the Mmats PA601.4.

Are you running the stock HU or aftermarket HU and what year bike? Any other speakers on the 4180?

With no way to control the crossover points with that amp or HU, I wouldn't run the Pro Audio style speakers in your lowers. I'd consider the 6.5 Titans from Biketronics. Call Mike at Biketronics and see what he suggests.

I found that to be the case with mine as well. So pleased with the lowers that I am not sure I needed to do the rear lids but what is done is done.

Those are relatively inexpensive, at least what I found online.

Those lower speaker pods look different from my speaker pods on my 16 SGS. My speakers were inside the pod flush with a HD grill. What pods are you using?

They are inexpensive and they do sound good, but like bates said earlier, with no way to bandpass them, they’re not going to live up to expectations. They need to be cut off on the low side from 80-120 depending on how much power you’re feeding them but they also need to be cut off on the high side around 4K. If you let them roll off without a high frequency cut off they’re going to sound like ***. I’ve ran 2 pair of them, lowers and tour pack pods and if you go higher than say 4250 on the high side they start sounding like *** and since they aren’t a super sensitive speaker you do need to put the power to them to get the volume you need.

I still run one pair in my tour pack because they sound good but they seriously need to be bandpassed.

Those are the SoundZ adaptors for liquid cooled lowers. Since SoundZ came out with these, I have read that HogTunes now sells adaptors for liquid cooled lowers without having to buy HogTune 2 ohm speakers.
