Default Stubby Antenna
This is probably going to be a real easy question...

Will a generic stubby antenna from my local parts store work correctly for a 17 Road Glide Special?

Also, how do you remove & reinstall the antenna?

I suggest you unscrew the one that is on your sled and take it in with you to ensure fitment.... Then screw the new one back on.

I thought it might be that easy...LMAO

I wasn't entirely sure about weather band working with a "regular" antenna.

In my defense bike is in the shop currently

It was that easy on my 18.... I don't know about the weather band part though...

Last one I bought had multiple adapters so it would fit anything. It's about 4" tall.

No issues, great reception for FM. Did not test out WeatherBand...

No more watching for poking my eye out on the stock antenna

I used these. One for mine and one for the wife's bike. I did not want a super short one though. I don't listen to radio at all so I can't comment on reception.
