Hey all kind of new to forum and really new at adding an amp and speakers....try to be nice. Is there a certain wattage that will fry the stator? I know most amps are wired to the battery. Thats my concern. Again I'm new to audio. I've read some threads that suggest telling my budget and what I want to add, so here it goes. Budget $500 for amp front fairing speakers 12 Ultra w/ Alpine head unit. I have LOUD pipes just want to hear radio clearly at 75mph. Thanks
If you're looking just to add an every day setup, you will have no stator, charging or battery issues. There are plenty of guys running 3 amps with no issue.

So 4 speakers & an amp right? What kind of music do u listen to? Daily rider in the rain?
And as DSM eloquently stated, not a concern at all regarding 1 amp.
Stock 2007 stator, 2 SD 800.4s and 1 SD250.2. I absolutely flog this stereo and have no issues. Dont worry about it, youll be fine. You can hear mine over a dozen bikes with loud pipes and I dont even have a monster system like T and some others have.
There is all kinds of speakers and amps that will fit the bill. on a 2012 we can get you squared away with some decent gear for 500 bucks. If you install it yourself or since you are close buy a 12 pack of adult soda and message me a address. there is a decent shop around the corner there at 15 mile and Groesbeck. They have plenty of power/ground and fuse holders to make you a harness.
You plan on staying at 4 speakers Fairing and tourpack? or is there a chance of lids, lowers?
