I've spent the last day scouring the forum for an answer to my audio question & haven't been able to find it, so here goes.
I'm 70 years old and have a '16 Tri-Glide Ultra. I need to get more volume out of my Boom system. Don't know if my hearing is starting to go, or what.
I always ride with a helmet and thus only hear from my ear pads. Volume (of course) is turned up to max, and the only time I can hear well is at low speeds. Highway speed is impossible. Would love to be able to hear the prompts from the nav system.

Is there a solution??????
When you say ear pads are you referring to helmet speakers? Volume to the max in helmet speakers will damage what's left of your hearing. The Nav volume is adjusted separately from the radio volume.
Thanks. Yeah, by ear pads I mean helmet speakers. Everything goes to them. I don't listen to radio channels, they're to difficult to maintain while riding in traffic. Seek, scan, up, down, static, etc I just have a usb stick with all my music on there.
And like I said, no problem around town. Just when you get out on the highway, it's a little difficult to hear. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ever griped about this. The nav prompts and intercom seem to be the worst. Not that I can't hear at all, it's just difficult. Probably just old age. Gettin' old is a bitch.
I was hoping there would just be a simple little trick to tweaking the electronics some how to get a little more volume output. No big deal. I can live with it.
