i think without a doubt ur far better off talking about the various aspects & fundamentals of tuning than u are about posing up eq graphs.
Nothing regarding tuning is secret btw. Dudes like scott, louie, haze, etc that have been in the audio industry for decades have experience & knowledge, and that knowledge is a shops power & secret to success. In all cases, we must respect that experience & knowledge as proprietary thus sharing tunes that they have specifically impacted is out of bounds but discussing the specific topics like gains, crossovers, slopes, qs, boosting vs cutting, targeting the correct freqs, dd1s, rtas, etc are all on the table and should be encouraged for us diy folks. Oh, and having a good ear for tuning is beyond priceless. Some of these shops that roll out their "flagship" installs really do sound like shix even with some descent shop experience. Just have bad ears.
What your trying to find out?? Are you looking for a target EQ like this once it's graphed showing what's actually playing with 45hz as the peek frequency (this is a LW bike BTW...not subs!)
Or do you just want to see some random EQ's? I have TONS of these but don't think they will offer much help.
Yes your EQ previously was very bad, but showing a random EQ is not going to help you much either. There should be more posts encouraging folks to LEARN how to EQ and learn how things work vs. just tell me what you did so I can copy it. NO ONE here competes or does this for money so I don't get the reluctancy.
Hope these pics help.
thanks and I’m not looking for anyone’s specific tune just was looking for a what a generic
eq graph should look like. Should it look like a smile a frown a bunch of mountains. If that makes sense?

Since you are tuning each speaker separately I would say toss out an idea of a generic shape of your EQ -- Each speaker will look different (since they are all doing different things/playing different freqs).

That makes sense. I think what a lot of us could benefit from is discussion of each function and what it does or how to use it so to speak. Maybe even specific to certain popular models. For example Arc doesn't really have much info at all on the PSM. They tell you to look at the videos for the PS8 but it is a different animal.
Maybe a good way to phrase a question would be "I have xx brand model xx speaker running off of xx brand xx model amp with xx brand xx model DSP. What would a good starting EQ look like?".
Don't know if that makes sense or not.
BTW thanks for chiming in Haze if I lived near you I would definitely get you to tweak my PSM.
I think most of the big EQ stuff is fixing the Boom curve! If you look at the pics of the EQ difference on AHB site they add and cut alot of Low Fz's to just get a nice flat response from the head unit.
This can change also between running and parked!
I think the Big piece of the puzzle is getting a said speaker to play in the bandpass zone that it thrives in. Yes, Bandpass is your biggest friend even if you are using coax speakers as we know a 6.5 coax rated from 60hz-28Khz will not really play a 60hz tone nicely and we would not be able to hear when it gets over 17Khz. So we would bandpass it from 95-100hz thru 18Khz or so. Plus, I am Deaf..
I was told EQing is icing on the cake. I agree with that!, and that is where you tune it to your liking.
So we would bandpass it from 95-100hz thru 18Khz or so.
Interesting point there Juice about bandpassing. I have never thought about capping the high end of coax speakers. Have you noticed any improvement at speed or sitting still by doing this?

I personally cant hear much past 13000hz. Retired Military (different story)
Tailwind found a tone that goes from 20hz-20Khz. Play it and see where you can start to hear it and when you can no longer hear it. This help with checking your cross-over setting too.
