Default FMOD low pass crossover replacement installation

I got a lot of good help here when I wanted to install an amp & fairing speakers on my '07 RG. Been quite happy with the WDX6Motos in the fairing. Admittedly a novice installer, as that 2 speaker 1 amp upgrade is the extent of my experience. Hoping to get some help with my next upgrade.

I'm wanting to add a set of lowers with Hertz SV 165.1 speakers on a 2nd amp to compliment the Motos. I already have all the components including a pair of the low pass 6500hz FMODs to cap the highs. I was hoping they would come with instructions as to where in the wiring scheme to install them, but alas they don't. Only marked in (female end) and out (male end). Website says male end to amp.

Questions:
1. Should these be installed between the HU & input to the amp or between the amp output and the SVs?

2. Male end female end orientation?

Thanks in advance for any and all help you can provide.

The FMODS are passive devices meant for low level signals, so between the head unit and amp. The male end (point) going to the amp somehow. It doesn't matter if you plug the female end into the plug coming out of the head unit or plug the male end into the RCA input of the amp, the functionality is the same.

I think on the system in my old truck it was easiest to plug the female ends of the FMODS into the RCA output of the head unit and then just plug the patch cable into the male ends of the FMODS and run it to the amp.

Once that is done you can then set the high pass filter of the amp to whatever you want to for the low end, thus completing your bandpass filter.
