Hello, I am getting ready to install some new speakers in my 2010 Ultra and have a few questions. Currently just running stock speakers on JVCX35MBS. New would be mmats 601's and 601cx's with a RZ4-3000d. My question is would it sound better with the cx's in the lowers or in the fairing? Also can I remove the wire harness for the cb and tour pack controls to free up space in the fairing? Thank you.

I would run the CX in the Fairing as that will give your some highs up front.
As long as the connectors are taped off or wrapped out of the way there should not be a problem removing the CB module. The tourpack controls may tie into other things going to the rear so watch that. Again, if there are connector just unplug and secure/waterproof the connector.
Ok, thank you. I did remove the cb module when I changed the head unit out. Just wanted to get rid of wires/plug that I wont use again. Figured I will follow them back and see what happens. Any thought on what the amp settings should be at?
Got it done last weekend and it definitely sounds better. Still unsure if I have the settings right but trying to read and figure out tuning. Hopefully I can get it dialed in.
