I think Ryan Urlacher said in his vid that the Cardo didn't work with the Sena Freewire.

I'm researching to see if the Freewire is a better setup than the WHIM. One thing that the Freewire has is the mini-jack so I could use my OLD iPod with a ton of music on it.

I never saw Ryan use the USB for power and run the mini usb from the DIN kit through the back of the phone pod. In all the solutions I never saw anyone do this which is odd. It works great, when I turn the key on the Freewire powers up, when I turn the key off it powers down. It all fits in the phone pod that I wasn't using for anything else and it lets me connect to my phone for phone and voice text and to my radio for XM and whatever else I want to listen to. I have a buddy that is getting the new Cardo wtih JBL speakers and we are going to see if it works with my Freewire. If it does, I am going to connect the phone directly to the Boom and use it for music and phone since I will be able to voice text with it once I get the Bluetooth 4.1.

The vid I saw, he mentioned that the Freewire has a headphone jack that you can plug an old ipod into. One thing I just remembered about the Freewire is that Ryan mentioned you need two of them if you have a passenger. So, that basically eliminates it from consideration for me.

True, a Freewire will only connect to one headset. You could get a pair of wireless headsets that allow you to share music, other than that I don't see an issue. The headsets will still work with each other with the Freewire or the WHIM the same way. Other than music, there is no need to connect the second headset to the BOOM radio.

I wonder if this kit could replace the gas tank DIN connector on my 2014 Ultra LImited. Instead of plugging the Freewire into the gas tank, I could mount it in the fairing, run power and DIN cable to it and forgetaboutit.

This kit is the same as the gas tank DIN connector, the instructions tell you to mount the kit on the tank dash, I just left it behind the fairing. I am not sure if there are 2 plugs though so if the rear DIN uses the same cable as the kit you will lose functionality on that one when you change it out.
