I will say an advantage of the FMOD crossovers is that they are passive units on the signal input to the amp, so they don't introduce any extra noise into the system. They are also no bigger around than the RCA plugs that they plug into, so space shouldn't be an issue.
No, and I intended to. I bought a cheap mount off eBay for $40, and it fit great. I actually mocked up a 14" plate (versus the 10" plate I bought) that would be completely flat, and allow it to connect to brackets/pods. Having a mill handy is nice. Once I get one finished, I'll see if anyone in DFW wants to come try it out for free. If I did my measurements right we might be able to cheaply move away from J&M.

So I looked up your older threads and I'm still confused, maybe I didn't go back far enough. What amp powers what speakers in your system?
I just installed a Stinger 700.4. It powers 2 Mmats 601.4s, each on it's own channel. It also powers two 8 ohm Mmats dx35t's bridged on the other two channels. I also have a B52 pushing two DD VO69s in the bags.
Man, what a difference. Not only in sound, but how easy it was tonight the fairing back on. I hate the pigtails, so I used heat shrink crimps to make sure everything stays connected. I'm not tuned quite right, because the neighbors 2 houses down and across the street came over throwing a fit. I guess it was too loud for them. I ended up putting the Mmats dx35t's in the grills, since they take 100 watts. I ended up bridging the two tweeters to make it a 4 ohm load, but I think I have the gains too low. All I need now is maybe some way to cutoff the 5khz and above signal to the 601.4's.
