Bad HU AGAIN????
I need some help audio GURUS:0)
I was on here a LOT early last summer after a stereo upgrade.
Added PN4.1000, DBMotos in TP and fairing and PRV midbase in wet lowers. 2015 Ultra Limited. Had Ganicus help me with install.
Also did a bar swap.
All was good and then I started to lose sound at random, then more consistantly, then pretty much all together. All controls bar worked. Ended up bypassing amp and using my old pods to see if amp was the problem. Kinda matched it with the volt meter climbing above 15.
Traced it back to a bad HU after a dealer swap with one they had. Ended up buying a refurb BOOM from HD with less than 9000 miles on bike.(end of June 2018).
All worked wonderfully rest of summer. Even great this spring out of storage.
NOW ITS STARTING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I triple checked all connections. plugged and unplugged. Worked until I reved my motor and got volts above 15. Even went and grabbed my old pods and plugged them in. Same result.
1. Could I really have gotten another bad HU???
2. Do I have a voltage issue instead????
3. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
