This vid gets particularly interesting at about the 3 min mark. When he mentions green band/no band I am going to assume the green has no component to reduce power/filter signal. Another take away is that Harley Cannot do this flash.
UPDATE: a person at JMCorp gave me the local contact to get this done.
So options: I can go 1 or 2 BT355's, a DSP or get the HU flashed and programmed to front and rear, low output with no crazy EQ.
True but more discussion on his question would maybe get clouded in someone elses thread or lost
just like his question did. Is the 4/0 the best one depends on your system or ears. Babyboy just did the 4/1
flash on a bike and he said it worked out well.
Curious what "worked out well" means. Any tangible / physical reference or just subjective. Before and after Boom EQ curves? Fade? No fade? Can HD conduct this flash? Only certain devices?
Well I got the Rokker flash done. I was referred to a business in ft. worth so about an hour or so away. Really cool guy. He did the deed and it was only 50.00.
But I can't really tell a difference. The MP3 and streaming still sound pretty good for the most part. Every now and then a song will come on that it don't like as far as the bass mainly. But FM...heck now it's worse.
So I'm pulling this POS out and going with a the sony.
Even if any of the "I told you so's" would be a fix, this is off the chart f'd up. It's just a radio man why so serious.
Something I did discover. Best Buy has an exclusive version of the AX5000 called an AX3000. They are currently around 300.00. The difference is only 1 usb and the touch screen is a different type but still touch.
The problem is mounting it. You still to get a mounting kit and I can't find just the brackets. You have to go with something like a Metra 95-9700 and that is at least 125.00.
The the fathead bundle seems a no brainer.

I'm running aftermarket but may go back to Boom. The audio quality is better for sure with aftermarket but the DSP got me around the EQ curve bullshix especially at 70 mph.
The lost functionality & hand control functionality from the Boom as a rider is fairly significant.
Gonna give it a few months but overall I'm not extremely crazy in luv with the aftermarket shix on my daily rider.

Fast delivery, answers any questions. Saves money and time. Finally Now (for now) I can move to other HD issues.

Food for thought.

This caught my attention because it's the first I have heard of someone considering switching back to Boom.
Like you, I too like the features, mainly oil pressure display, the Boom has.
Are you still considering switching back?
