Damn right. I will push those JL 8.8's on anyone! They are in a league of their own man. BUT you have to have big enough lid to house those big a$$ things!

I think I'll stay with Hertz or GZ. PRV can take a lot of power too, they just have higher crossover points.

How well you hear them has a lot to do with what freqs you play. A speaker with a good midrange will be heard better at speed.

I've learned enough to trust the opinions on this board. I think what I'll do is get the lowers and dsp set up, and see what is lacking.

Your head is like a foot from the lid speakers. I hope you could hear them at 80!

SLODSMs lids sound great. I don't know fast he can hear them maybe he will chime in. I'd say he has the reference for 8 inch lids that aren't JL 880s.
