Bridged is taking 2 channels of a amp and making it 1 channel, making your 4 channel amp a stronger 2 channel amp. You get way more power out of it. (I like a lot of power)
4 ohms: 75 watts x 4 chan.
2 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan.
Bridged, 4 ohms: 200 watts x 2 chan.

Now when something is bridged, is it purchased that way or is it something that is done to the amp after you purchase it?
Also, in doing this am I limiting myself to future speaker configurations (LIDS)?
Thank you so much and I hope Im not asking too many stupid questions.

I updated my response with a link, help you make sense of it.
Yes, those are the correct products. I'd listen to Juice though. Im a novice and only commented on my situation and budget, since they were almost exactly like yours. His recommended products are probably better than mine.
Good info, RagmanZL I'm in the same boat as you with the tour pak removal.
Think I will look into adding speakers in the lowers as well since losing the tour pak speakers.

Juice's recommendations would be spot on with the Mmats 601.cx. I was also thinking the NVX Vadm4 would be a great choice as well. I'm currently running just my tour pack Mmats with my NVX Vadm4 and it rocks.
If lowers are a consideration, now would be the time to maybe consider a little bigger 4 channel amp. Maybe a little more money up front but the Stinger would be able to run some Mmats 601.cx in your lowers if you add them latter, or your tour pack now when it is on the bike.
Thanks for all the info - in about the same boat here too. I have a 16 RG Special with the Boom 6.5 and looking for more power and possibly a speakers swap so I can hear my tunes while at speed. Don’t need much thump on the bike.
Are you running the VADM4 bridged or just using 2 of the 4 channels?
I'm currently running mine bridged. Im planning to use the Vadm4 to power my JL 8.8" when I get them installed next week. Figured I may as well run my tour pack off it until then.
I've got a Kenwood KAC m3004 laying around, that I'm going to mount into my tour pack. Rig it up to quick disconnect all together with my tour pack when it comes off.
