Default Speakers

I have an 09 RK Classic that I put new hard bags on with 6x9 speakers lids. I bought pioneer 6900 pros because they were highly recommended. My issue is they are extremely heavy and the tweeter sits too high to fit under the cover.
I am running a Rockford Fosgate 300w 4 channel amp with two Steel Horse audio cones up front. Looking to see how others mounted the pioneers or recommend a different set of 6x9s. Thanks

+1 on the 690cx for a 6x9. A good sounding speaker thru out the spectrum when tuned
